Mental Health Counseling
We work as a team to ask questions and understand what’s going on in your life. We have many ways to help you feel better and live a healthier life. Talking about things that are bothering you is a good first step. Our counselors work at your pace in a safe space.

Counseling can help with:
- Anxiety
- Depression
- Sadness
- Anger
- Trauma
- Sleep & energy
- Daily life stress
- Pain or illness
- Loneliness or grief
- Addiction
Psychiatry
Medicine might help you feel better. Your counselor may suggest you meet with our psychiatric team. They have other tools and can prescribe and manage medications.
Addiction & Recovery
If drugs or alcohol are causing problems in your life, we can help. NorthLakes has an addiction and recovery program that offers counseling, medical care, and help finding resources.
School-based Counseling
Our school-based behavioral health program ensures students receive the mental health care they need at a time that best fits their course schedule.
Providers
Paying for Care
We work with you to find ways to pay. We accept Medicaid/BadgerCare, Medicare, and most insurance. We can help you get insurance and apply for our Sliding Fee.
Nurse Line
If you are having an emergency, call 9-1-1. To talk with a nurse, call your local clinic and choose option 2. For after-hours help, call (888) 834-4551.
Extra Support
Life can be complicated. We listen and may be able to help with things like rides to appointments, food, housing, family needs, and paying for care.
