Education
Master of School Counseling — Concordia University-Wisconsin
Professional Interests
Shannon believes healing happens through safe, trusting relationships and developmentally appropriate care that honors each person’s unique experiences and strengths. Drawing from the Neurosequential Model, play therapy, and somatic therapy, she views behavior as meaningful communication and works to understand the nervous system, developmental, and relational factors that influence each individual.
She uses play- and body-based approaches to help children and adolescents build self-awareness, regulate emotions, process difficult experiences, and develop resilience. Shannon strives to create a compassionate, collaborative, and culturally responsive environment where children, adolescents, and their families feel supported, empowered, and able to grow.
