Psychiatry

Psychiatry is medical care for your mental health. Our psychiatric team can diagnose problems and prescribe and manage medication.

We look at the whole picture of what is going on in your life. We ask questions and listen to your concerns. We’ll work together to create a plan that feels good to you. Using a combination of care usually works best.

Psychiatric care can help with:

  • Anxiety
  • ADHD (trouble focusing)
  • Bipolar disorder
  • Depression
  • Other mental health problems

Mental Health Counseling

For extra support, your psychiatric provider might suggest you meet with a mental health counselor to talk about things. Our counselors work at your pace in a safe space. NorthLakes offers counseling that promotes healing, problem-solving, and personal growth for all ages.

Providers

We work with you to find ways to pay. We accept Medicaid/BadgerCare, Medicare, and most insurance. We can help you get insurance and apply for our Sliding Fee.

If you are having an emergency, call 9-1-1. To talk with a nurse, call your local clinic and choose option 2. For after-hours help, call (888) 834-4551.

Life can be complicated. We listen and may be able to help with things like rides to appointments, food, housing, family needs, and paying for care.
